Fundraising - $9,200

  • We believe 9.2k is the bare minimum this film needs to be made. Most indie short films have a budget of around 20k. However, our multi-talented and hardworking crew has made it possible to create this film for less.

  • We don’t have the means to fund our own work. Yet. And much less an on-location shoot with 16mm film. We continue to apply for grants and have already won some (thank you, Hampshire College), but are unable to make up the bulk of the funding through those options.

    So, we look to you. Those with a love for intimate cinema. Those who have or had dreams of being a working artist. Those who just want to help us take our first steps into this industry.

  • Fractured Atlas is the only crowdfunding platform that allows you to make tax-deductible contributions.

    It does this through the means of fiscal sponsorship.

    Fiscal sponsorship is a contractual relationship between a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an individual whose activities fall within the sponsoring organization's mission. This relationship enables the 501(c)(3) to extend certain benefits of being nonprofit to the sponsored group, without the group having to go through filing for nonprofit status by itself.

This money we are fundraising isn’t for us to have in a checking account or pay ourselves during pre-production. The crew will be compensated for the days worked on set only.

On-location shoots and 16mm film are both things that add significant expenses to the short. But they are integral to the story we are telling and we believe the film can’t be made without these elements.

A mini-poster designed by, and featuring, the many talented artists on the crew. Frame it, use it as a telescope, or put it on your ceiling so we are the first thing you see when you wake up. We are just happy you are supporting us! If you want, we will even tarnish the beautiful artwork with our signatures.

Screening & After Party

Come to our premiere! Come party with us after! When the film is finished, we will get the entire cast and crew together for the first showing in Long Beach. If you are lucky, Sean and Liam may even make you a drink.
